Will my pool deck get slippery or too hot?

Not the way we build them. Every pool deck gets a textured finish plus a grit additive mixed into the sealer, which gives bare feet grip without changing the look. For heat, color does most of the work: light buff and sand tones stay far more comfortable in July sun than charcoal. Bobby brings color chips to the estimate so you can feel the difference outside in daylight.

How long does a patio or walkway take to install?

Most concrete patios and walkways are formed, poured, and finished in 2 to 3 working days, then need about a week of curing before furniture goes on. Paver projects typically take 3 to 5 working days depending on size and pattern. Pool decks and projects that need drainage work or tear-out run a bit longer, and we give you the schedule in writing before we start.

Will the concrete crack?

All concrete develops some hairline cracking over its life, and anyone who promises otherwise is not being straight with you. What we control is where and how much: a properly compacted base, full slab thickness, an air-entrained mix designed for freeze-thaw, and control joints planned so any cracking happens inside the joint lines where you'll never notice it.

Do I need a permit for a patio or walkway?

Ground-level patios and walkways generally don't require a permit in Anne Arundel County. Projects within the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area, within 1,000 feet of the Bay or its tidal tributaries, can trigger additional review because of impervious surface limits.
